So how can you make sure you’re getting enough water to keep your brain functioning at its best? The Institute of Medicine recommends women drink about 91 ounces of water per day and men drink about 125 ounces per day. This includes water from all sources, including beverages and food.

To make sure you’re getting enough water, try to drink a glass of water with each meal and snack, and carry a water bottle with you wherever you go. If you’re not a fan of plain water, try adding a slice of lemon or cucumber, or drink water infused with fruit or herbs.
