A Five-Minute Meditation To Help Ease Anxiety

There are many different ways to meditate and even more reasons to do so. For people who suffer from anxiety, meditation can be a powerful tool to ease symptoms.

You can experience the benefits of meditation in as little as five minutes. The key is to find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and focus on your breath. As you inhale, say to yourself “I am breathing in peace” and as you exhale, say “I am breathing out anxiety.”

You can also focus on a mantra or a positive affirmation. Repeat the mantra or affirmation over and over in your mind and let go of all other thoughts.

If you find your mind wandering, simply bring your focus back to your breath or mantra. It may take some practice, but eventually, you will be able to remain in a meditative state for more extended periods of time.
